🔍 Did you know your gut health and cortisol can basically be playing a game of tag between eachother?

👉🏼 Here's the scoop on how high cortisol can mess with your gut:

🌪️ Stress Overload: When stress spikes, so does cortisol. Too much cortisol suppresses the natural function of your gut, causing issues.

🍽️ Upset Digestion: High cortisol can suppress the production of stomach acid, leaving you bloated, gassy, and super full. Not fun!

🌱 Leaky Gut Trouble: Cortisol and it's inflammation-friends are a big driver of "leaky gut," where toxins can seep into your bloodstream. Yikes!

🦠 Microbe Mayhem: Excess cortisol throws off the balance of gut bacteria, stresses everybody in there out 🤯 and leading to more digestive drama.

If you think your gut health problem might actually be a cortisol problem... here's a few ways to sort it out:

1️⃣ Hit the chill button. Find ways to de-stress and lower cortisol levels. Self-care, anyone? 🧘‍♀️

2️⃣ Eat a gut-loving diet: Load up on plant fibre, fermented goodies, and wholesome foods.

3️⃣ Gut-and-brain healing practice: Soothing massage, herbal teas, gentle music and some peace and quiet while you eat. Sound nice?

4️⃣ Get some quality sleep and some morning sun. A perfect recipe to balance cortisol and get your body back into a grounded rhythm.

So it's kind of chicken or the egg.

High stress causes gut health issues but gut health issues also cause high stress in the body.
